TaskFreak Time Clock

TaskFreak Time Clock

A solution was needed by our client to track time completion in project management. They were already using a web based task manager called TaskFreak (created by Stan Ozier). To fulfill the client's needs, we modified the source code of TaskFreak to include a time clock. A start button was added to each task so that times can be logged individually. Total times are calculated and displayed to the right of the start/stop button. Total time is displayed in hours:minutes:seconds (HH:MM:SS). If more than 24 hours have been logged, the number of days will appear as well (Dd HH:MM:SS). By clicking on the total time, a window appears with the total time recorded by each user. The history tab shows individually recorded segments of time and who logged that time. Administrators and task owners can reset the time to 00:00:00.

A content management system was built to dynamically upload new articles and pictures, create polls, send HTML newsletters to all who subscribe at the site, and manage advertiser's banner ads. All maintenance can be done without knowledge of HTML or web programming. The web design combined pictures directly from the magazine for an updated look. View Site

Rocket Daddy

Rocket Daddy

RocketDaddy.com is the directory of directories. They needed a simple site that would focus visitors on their directories, and they needed a color scheme that would balance their impressive logo. Red was the color of choice. When used in a minimalist style, the red complements the logo without overwhelming the site. Thin lined boxes keep the site organized and focused. A content management system was built for the multitude of directory sites. In this system, when a new web site is added to a directory, it can be given a description, placed in a specific category, and rated for different criteria. The criteria for winning a Rocket Daddy award was also written by Albrook Data. This criteria asks web designers to consider all aspects of their web site including content, graphic design, layout, usability, and functionality. View Site

Blogiversity

Blogiversity

The look of this educational blog site was inspired by time spent in the university library. The forum was fully customized to match the look of the site. The blogs use open source software and can be individually customized by the blogger. A plug-in for the blog software was programmed and added to the side bar of each blog. This modification randomly chooses site sponsors links from a database and displays them on each page of the blogs. View Site
